The proposed project consists of property enhancements intended to make Eastview more upscale and one of the major destination shopping centers in upstate New York. Success at Eastview will increase the value of existing businesses in the mall and the nearby area. Most importantly, the project will result in significant financial benefits to the community. The project significantly increases sales tax revenue to Ontario County and its towns, villages and cities under its distribution formula. The project will also stabilize and eventually increase property tax payments to the county, the Town of Victor and the Victor Central School District. In short, the project will assure that Eastview Mall continues to be a major economic driver in Ontario County by maintaining and enhancing its competitive position in the Rochester region and establishing itself as the premier destination shopping center in upstate New York.
